Redact & correct your own PDFs
RewritePDF truly deletes the names, numbers and hidden metadata you select from your own PDF — the text is cut out of the file, not just covered with a black box. It can also correct existing text using the file's embedded fonts so spacing stays intact. For redacting and fixing documents you own — not for passing off altered files as originals.

Honest limits, so there are no surprises.
Replace can draw only the characters that exist in the document's embedded font. If a character isn't there (e.g. a digit the original never used), it's skipped and you'll see a note — pick the available characters, or switch to Delete.
It works on selectable text inside the PDF. Scanned or photographed pages are just images — there's no OCR, so there's nothing to find and rewrite there yet.
Supported — just enter the PDF's open password. It's used only to open the file, never stored, and the finished PDF is saved with the same password and permissions.
The tool acts on the exact strings you enter. In Delete mode the auto-detect checks word by word, so data split across spaces (like a card number in groups) is best entered manually.
